There are three levels of sponsorship available:

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Peter Liljedahl

Dr. Peter Liljedahl is the author of Building Thinking Classrooms, a Professor of Mathematics Education in the Faculty of Education, and an associate member in the Department of Mathematics at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada.

Dr. Liljedahl is a former high school mathematics teacher who has kept his research interest and activities close to the classroom. His research interests are creativity, insight, and discovery in mathematics teaching and learning; the role of the affective domain on the teaching and learning of mathematics; the professional growth of mathematics teachers; mathematical problem solving; numeracy; and engaging student thinking. He consults regularly with schools, school districts, and ministries of education on issues of teaching and learning, assessment, and numeracy.

Call for Presenters

We are seeking dynamic, engaging, and knowledgeable presenters for the NJAFPA Annual Conference!  

AUDIENCE
The primary conference audience consists of District Administrators, Directors, Program Coordinators, Building Principals, and Teachers who coordinate the use of Federal Funds (Title I, II, III, IV) to support student achievement.  Workshop content and instruction should be geared to a level that is appropriate for the target audience.

CRITERIA
Proposals are solicited for a 60-minute, in-person presentation that is interactive, creative, dynamic, and feature best practices in the area of:

 

**SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING & MENTAL HEALTH
**ACADEMIC INTERVENTION
**CREATIVE USE OF TITLE / CARES FUNDING
**FAMILY ENGAGEMENT

**DIVERSITY/INCLUSION/EQUIT
**MTSS / USE OF ASSESSMENTS 
The presentation time frame will include introductions, presentation material, question and answer session, and evaluation. 

Attendees should leave with specific knowledge and skills about various aspects of the topic and how it relates to the planning, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of using Federal Funds. 

Presentations should provide attendees with educational value and refrain from promoting a specific business, product, or service.
